Pattaya is blessed with breath-taking sunsets. Having a west-facing coastline and generally good weather, the sun puts on a dazzling display of colors as it sinks into the Gulf of Thailand. The views inland from the 7 best rooftop bars and restaurants in Pattaya are also excellent, with the diverse skyline of new and old buildings slowly blending into the distant hills.
1. HORIZON ROOFTOP RESTAURANT & BAR
On the 34th floor of the excellent Hilton Pattaya you find the amazing and stylish Horizon, which is both a rooftop bar and a fine restaurant. Paired with drinks and bites are some of the best views you can find in Pattaya, with stunning views over Pattaya Bay.
The outdoor terrace is a great spot to sip on crafted signature cocktails and bites, chill out in one of the lounge sofas to the Deejays vibes and enjoy the fantastic views.
Indoors is more of a fine dining restaurant where you can order from a fusion menu of meats, seafood and grills. Reservations are recommended for the restaurant, and also for the terrace if you want the very best front-row seats.
Horizon is a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it, and if you come between 5-7pm you can enjoy 2-for-1 on cocktails.

2. THE ROOF SKY BAR & RESTAURANT
The Roof Sky Bar & Restaurant is a vibrant, colorful and multi-level rooftop destination, located on the higher floors of the fantastic Siam@Siam Design Hotel Pattaya.
Up here you get fantastic views over both the ocean and the Pattaya skyline.
Sky Restaurant is located on the 24th floor, and here you can enjoy a range of international dishes out on the artificial grass floor. Seating come as both dining wicker furniture and comfortable sofas.
On the same level as the restaurant you also find Wet Bar, where you can enjoy drinks and views while dipping your feet in a small pool.
The most exciting level at Siam@Siam is however the top one, where you find the Sky Bar. Laid-back and relaxed in vibe, the terrace comes with a funky and artistic design, a mix of front-edge bar stools and comfy longe furniture and, best of all, a rooftop infinity pool open to all visitors.
Apart from dips in the pool, the Siam Siam rooftop bar Pattaya also offers open air movies with Thai or French picnic-style nibbles, bossa nova sounds between showings and well-made exotic cocktails. Open from early morning to late at night, any time of the day is a great time to visit the Sky Bar.
Enjoy chill-out vibes, daily happy hour from 5-7pm and Sunday Social from 3pm, with a free drink for ladies.

3. SUNSET LOUNGE ROOFTOP BAR PATTAYA
Set on the 6th floor of the elegant Hotel Baraquda Pattaya, the Sunset Lounge is not the highest rooftop bar in Pattay, but is one of the most stylish and relaxing.
Despite not being sky-high, the terrace still comes with fantastic views over the ocean and Pattaya Bay, extra amazing just around sunset.
The terrace is quite small with an exclusive feel. Equipped with regular dining tables and more chill lounge chairs, the rooftop bar serves an extensive selection of signature cocktails, an international wine list and a Tapas style menu.
Friendly service and usually quite relaxed and romantic in ambience, Sunset Lounge is a great rooftop bar for fine cocktails and bites.
Every night between 6-8pm is happy hour with 2-for-1 on coktails, and during weekends the atmosphere turns up a bit, with live Deejay playing upbeat house music Fri-Sat from 7-11pm.

4. THE ROOFTOP AT HOLIDAY INN PATTAYA
On top of the Executive Tower of the very nice Holiday Inn Pattaya you find a bit of a hidden gem, simply called: The Rooftop. 25 floors up, the views over the ocean and Pattaya Bay are fantastic.
Open nightly, the rooftop terrace is very stylish in decoration, with cosy lighting and usually a sophisticated and comfortable ambience, perfect for some conversations, cocktails and views.
Mainly a cocktail bar, there is a daily happy hour (5-7pm) with buy 1, free one on selected items. There is also live DJs playing nice tunes every Thursday through Sunday from 5.45pm. All in all, The Rooftop at Holiday Inn Pattaya promises a great start to any night.

5. RUFFINO RESTAURANT & LOUNGE
Located on the rooftop of Centara Grand Phratamnak Pattaya, Ruffino Restaurant & Lounge is a fine dining pool-side Italian restaurant and lounge bar, offering fantastic views over the Gulf of Thailand.
Situated on Phratamnak Hill in South Pattaya, the restaurant and rooftop bar is very stylish and modern in setting and offers seating both inside and out on the terrace.
Here you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes inspired by home-style Italian flavours, along with a nice selection of wines and refreshing cocktails.
While the terrace view of course is the top attratction, the inside lounge also calls for some attention with its tanks filled with jellyfish.

6. D.I.B SKY BAR PATTAYA
Perched on top of D Varee Jomtien Beach, the D.I.B Sky Bar is a trendy place that comes with amazing views over Jomtien Beach, the ocean and the Pattaya skyline.
Located on the 38th floor, D.I.B. (or D Varee Inspiration Bar) is truly a night time destination for sky high views and exclusive vibes.
With the look and feel of a classic Asian sky bar, the open air terrace comes with both regular dining tables, lounge spots and cool and colorful lighting. The rooftop bar offers cool and crafted signature cocktails, a selection of imported wines and beers and an assortment of tapas.
With nice music (usually presented by a live Deejay) and a relaxed yet stylish ambience, the D.I.B rooftop bar is worth a visit all through the night. But the best time is probably quite close to opening hour, when you can enjoy great deals on drinks (happy hour 6-8pm), and even more so, take in the fantastic views of the sun setting out in the ocean.

7. LE VELA ROOFTOP BAR
For a romantic rooftop experience, take aim at Le Vela Rooftop Bar, perched on top of the fantastic U Pattaya in Na Jomtien.
Rustic, stylish and modern, this rooftop terrace is not that high in altitude, but with nice water feature settings and comfy bean bags, it is truly a place to relax and feel at one with the amazing ocean views.
The rooftop bar offers a variety of delicious snacks, beverages and refreshing cocktails, along with friendly service and very cosy lighting. If you stay at the U Pattaya you can also enjoy the rooftop infinity pool, wich means daytime lounging with the same beautiful setting and lovely atmosphere.
