PATTAYA IS AN AMAZING CITY
Red Light Districts-
Pattaya City has it all go-go bars, beaches, modern shopping centers, affordable beach front hotels, massage parlors, Walking Street and thousands of bargirls.
Walking Street is the undisputed number one nightlife location in Pattaya. With over 400 bars, agogo bars and nightclubs it is also Pattaya’s biggest tourist attraction and arguably the biggest in the whole of Thailand. Tens of thousands of people visit Walking Street every night.
Visiting a red light district in Pattaya is still very entertaining for male travelers. Pattaya is littered with hundreds of bars all over the city, from the large high end ago-go bars on Walking Street and LK Metro to more intimate smaller bars in other areas.
Pattaya is a big city and can be a bit daunting and time consuming to figure out where everything is, so in this article we'll give you an overview of the best more well known areas to visit and an idea of the prices in the bars.
1. BEACH ROAD
If you’re into sitting at a Pattaya bar for hours on end then you wont be disappointed . Beach Road is littered with beer bars from the small to the very large, all with sea views and with plenty of bar girls to choose from. As well as having an abundance of all the above mentioned, once the sun starts to set, freelancers come out and line the sidewalk from Beach Road north all the way south to Walking Street.
BEACH ROAD
Location: Pattaya Beach road lies parallel to the city centre, and runs from Pattaya North, south to Walking Street, and is about 2.7 km long.
2. WALKING STREET
South Pattaya-
Pattaya is probably best known for Walking Street – it is the bright neon lit hub of the city’s nightlife, a must see tourist destination when visiting Pattaya especially if you’re looking for go-go bars. If you include all of the narrow side-roads which lead off it the area is home to over 80 go-go bars, the majority of the city’s nightclubs and hundreds of beer bars, as well as live music venues.
There is an amazing atmosphere within Walking Street as you stroll through. Bright lights, live music, go-go dancers standing out front of their respective bars, large to small beer bars, street performers, seafood restaurants to street food and budget hotels there really is something for everyone.
A full neon drenched kilometre from its high-tech gateway at the Beach Road end to the Bali Hai Plaza end, almost every building along its length is a nightclub, go-go bar, beer bar or restaurant.
Draft beers are reasonably priced in some places as low as 65 baht, bottled beers priced 120-160 baht, Lady drinks average 160 baht.
WALKING STREET
Location: Between the end of Pattaya Beach Road and Bali Hai Pier-Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150 Thailand.
DIAMOND ARCADE
South Pattaya-
Soi Diamond, featuring the Diamond Arcade and Soi Diamond Alleyway, is located between Walking Street and 2nd Road. If you are on Walking Street just look for the large neon archway. If you are coming from 2nd Road (Pratumnak Road) you should be looking for the next Soi along after Sois 14 and 15.
The main arcade contains mainly larger bars and agogo bars around the outside with some beer bars in a small complex in the centre. At the rear of the Arcade it narrows into the Soi itself, Soi 16, where you will find a few more gogo bars plus many small bars, restaurants and budget hotels available for short term or long term rent.
It is home to some of the longest established, more traditional, and some say still the best gogo bars in Pattaya including 'Diamond Agogo', after which the arcade and the Soi is named. Diamond Agogo was the 2nd gogo bar to open in Pattaya and the first in the Walking Street area, way back in the late 1970’s.

3. SOI LK METRO
South Pattaya-
Soi LK Metro is a smaller concentrated version of the more renowned Walking Street. Despite being no more than 200m in length, it is home to a number of great agogo bars most notably Lady Love, Queen Club, Showgirls and Crystal club are among the many beer bars on LK Metro.
It comes alive every evening with people wanting all of the fun Pattaya is famous for, but without the huge crowds, loud music, fast-paced partying and long distances which characterise Walking Street.
The bar staff here are generally more easy going and less pushy and often able to speak good English. Drink prices are generally lower too, with draft beers usually under 80 baht and, in some cases, as low as 60 baht during happy hours. Lady drinks average 130-160 baht.
PATTAYA SOI LK METRO
Location: Around the LK Metropole, connecting Soi Buakhao and Soi Diana Inn-Soi LK Metro , Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150 Thailand.
4. PATTAYA SOI 7 & 8
Central Pattaya-
Soi 7 & 8 is essentially the city’s biggest beer bar complex. It is also home to several go-go bars. Soi 8 is accessible through a narrow connecting route and has more bars. Taken together as one area, Pattaya Sois 7 and 8 create another popular nightlife spot in the city that has plenty of beer bars with good looking girls, massage shops, restaurants, and budget hotels.
The drinks here are among the cheapest, the atmosphere is among the friendliest and the pace less full on as in other areas. As a result, it is a popular area for locals and visitors looking for the less extreme side of Pattaya's nightlife scene.
Drinks are reasonably priced Draft beers from 60 baht, lady drinks average 100-160 baht.
PATTAYA SOI 7 & 8
Location: South of Central Pattaya Road, between Beach Road and Second Road. Soi Pattaya 7 & 8 Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150 Thailand.
5. PATTAYA SOI 6
North Pattaya-
Pattaya Soi 6 is one of the more notorious parts of the city’s famous nightlife. Sometimes referred to as Soi Yodsak, it is one of those parts of Pattaya where nearly every single establishment is a bar and packed with bar girls. Almost the whole of the street’s 350-metre length is drenched with pink neon light and the beckoning calls of “hello, sexy man!”
Be sure not to confuse Soi 6 with neighbouring Soi 6/1, where almost every establishment is a ladyboy bar !
Bars on Pattaya Soi 6 open well before it gets dark, generally from around 15:00, but some as early as 11:00. So if you're more of a matinee man then head down to Soi 6. They also have very cheap drinks, with local beers being around 70-85 baht per bottle and lady drinks for 120-150 baht.
Among the Pattaya Soi 6 bars which follow the description above are operated by the Nightwish Group with (currently) no less than twenty one bars, with other bars planned. All are amongst the most popular bars on the Soi. There are dozens of more bars also in soi 6.

Location: Just south of Pattaya Beach Garden Hotel, between Beach Road and Second Road, Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150 Thailand.
6. SOI BUAKHAO
South Pattaya-
Soi Buakhao is increasingly known as the new Walking Street. Running all the way from Pattaya Klang to Pattaya South Road. What the narrow road lacks in high energy night clubs, it more than makes up for with beer bars and agogo bars.
Notable off-shoots include Soi LK Metro with many great agogo clubs and bars, as well as Action Street (where every single bar is a ladyboy bar) so be sure not to confuse the two.
Drinks on Soi Buakhao are resonably priced 80-120 baht for local beers with Lady Drinks 130-160 baht.
Soi Buakhao is a hotspot area for Pattaya's famous nightlife with plenty of bars agogo clubs.
