5. Intense jealous possessiveness and abuse
Women, particularly western women are competitive by nature, a woman who is no fool would of noticed how beautiful and available Thai girls are, and therefore more often than not become prone to intense jealousy and possessiveness. When this happens women harbor feelings of inadequacy or inferiority. Their tactics take on may forms but as their jealousy grows, so does the chance for escalation. When a woman feels her relationship is threatened or stuck in a relationship that does not meet her needs, she may demonstrate abusive tendencies. It's as if they are holding their partner responsible for their misery. At this point a man will be dissatisfied with his wife's behaviour and the relationship in general , and sooner rather than later the union will be in jeopardy. Generally speaking western women have very little understanding or no interest in Thai culture, in fact they expect Thais to conform to theirs, through this arrogance is where they fail miserably and often end up unhappy where as men wouldn't change a thing particularly for role of the woman.
For a man, a relationship with a Thai woman is very different from that of one from a western culture, this is primarily based on the fact that Thai women haven't forgotten their role as a woman, they embrace it, a dynamic they are proud to have, and for most western men this is one of their best.
Times have changed for men who made it to Thailand, and with them the days of tolerating relationships with women they are not attracted to and those they do not feel loved and desired by. Physical and mental attraction and the intimacy and closeness that attractiveness and sexual desire bring may be more important than ever in helping western women to maintain healthy, long-term relationships with their partners.
